Pay any invoice by credit card
The invoice says bank transfer only. It can still go on your card.
Your supplier gets paid on their terms, in their account, by the method they asked for. Your card earns on the way through.
“A lot of money was being spent on stock and day-to-day expenses, but as a business, we weren’t seeing anything in return for those transactions.”
Can you pay an invoice with a credit card?
Yes, including an invoice you have received that gives bank details and no card option at all.
You enter the supplier and the invoice and charge your Visa, Mastercard or American Express. PayRewards pays them by ACH, domestic wire or paper check, whichever they take. The money lands in their own bank account like any other transfer.
Your supplier does not need a PayRewards account and does not do anything differently. They see a payment arrive, on their terms, against the invoice they sent you.

Three steps, one charge on your card
-
Add the supplier and the invoice
For ACH or a wire, you’ll need their routing number, account number and account type. For a check, just their mailing address. Enter the invoice number as your reference.

We pay them
By ACH, domestic wire or paper check. Turn on remittance advice and your supplier gets an email once the payment is processed, carrying the bill details and your invoice reference, so they can match it without asking you.

Most payments land in 1 to 2 business days. A paper check takes 4 to 7. So if the due date is this week, pay by ACH or wire. If you’re sending a check, start it at least a week out.

Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Whatever your card earns today, it earns on this. We don’t touch your program and we don’t replace it.
PayRewards Points on top
A second currency on the same invoice. Pick the tier that suits your spend. Transfer them to an airline, spend them on gift cards, pass them to your team, or put them against your next invoice.

What it costs
The fee buys a payment your supplier will accept, points on an invoice that earned you nothing, and your card’s own billing cycle between paying them and paying your statement.

FAQs
Can I pay an invoice that only shows bank details?
Yes, and it’s the reason most people are here. Bank details are all we need. Take the routing number, the account number and the account type from the invoice, add the supplier once, and every invoice after that is a few clicks. There’s no card option to look for, because there doesn’t need to be one.
Will the supplier see the invoice number?
Yes, if you turn on remittance advice. Your payment setup asks for a reference invoice number, and that travels through to the email your supplier receives once the payment is processed, along with the bill details and the amount. If you leave remittance advice off, they’ll see the payment arrive without the note.
Can I pay part of an invoice?
Yes. Upload an invoice and specify the amount you’d like to pay. Under details, specify that this is an incomplete payment (e.g. Payment 1 of 2).
Can I pay an invoice straight from QuickBooks?
Not from inside QuickBooks, no. It works the other way round: PayRewards imports your unpaid bills from QuickBooks Online, you pick the ones you want and pay them here, and the payment pushes back to your books. Bill records import rather than the invoice attachments themselves. The processing fee is recorded in QuickBooks as a transaction fee bill, posted to a PayRewards fee expense account.
Can I set up an invoice that repeats every month?
Yes. In Make a Payment, choose Vendor Payment, select Recurring and pick monthly. Set a start date and an end date up to 12 months out. It’s built for the invoices that arrive on the same day every month: rent, insurance, software. Recurring payments are funded by credit or debit card only.
Is the processing fee a business expense?
A fee on a business payment is normally a business expense. If you use the QuickBooks integration, PayRewards posts it as a transaction fee bill to a PayRewards fee expense account, either the default or one you choose. Your accountant will confirm how it applies to your business, and that’s the right person to ask.
