> Indicative estimated value of airline points is calculated at 2.4 cents per airline point – this is our estimate of redemption value based on business class flight redemption. Where other redemption options are shown, indicative values of 1.5 cents per point for economy flights, 1.41 cents for gift cards and 1.41 cents for statement credit are applied. Credit card rewards are valued separately at indicative cents-per-point estimates for each card's own rewards currency (cash back at face value). Point valuations are third-party estimates, not guarantees. You may not get this value as redemption value rates vary (depending on airline and flights route/class) and any airline point redemption is subject to availability.
# Tax estimate only – not tax advice. Savings shown assume the PayRewards fee is an ordinary and necessary business expense deductible in the year paid (IRC Sec. 162) and that your business has sufficient taxable income to use the deduction. We apply a 21% federal corporate rate plus the top 2026 corporate income tax rate for your selected state, treating state tax as federally deductible. This assumes a C corporation; pass-through entities (S corporations, partnerships, LLCs and sole proprietors) are taxed at the owner's individual rate and results will differ – if you select Pass-through, we apply the marginal rate you enter instead. States with gross receipts taxes (Nevada, Ohio, Texas, Washington) and states with no corporate income tax (South Dakota, Wyoming) are shown federal-only. Rewards you earn may be treated as a purchase price rebate that reduces your deductible expense, which would lower the saving shown. State rates: Tax Foundation, 2026. Confirm your position with your CPA.
^ PayRewards Points redeemed for airline miles is calculated on a 1:1 transfer rate to our airline transfer partners (Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Cathay Pacific Asia Miles). For current partner transfer rates, see here.
† Credit card earn rates are based on publicly available information published by card issuers as at February 20, 2026. Some credit cards have limits on the number of points you can earn, restrictions on earn rate or other restrictions including prohibited payment types. Our calculator does not account for these credit card terms, so actual credit card rewards may vary. Please refer to your credit card terms and conditions for further information.
A worked example at $100,000 a month
Same payments, four ways to fund them. The last two rows are the ones that matter.
| Per month | Card Core 1x | Card Plus 2x | Bank Core 1x | Bank Plus 2x |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly bill spend | $100,000 | $100,000 | $100,000 | $100,000 |
| PayRewards Points earned | 100,000 | 200,000 | 100,000 | 200,000 |
| Credit card points earned | 100,000 | 100,000 | none | none |
| PayRewards fee | $1,750 | $3,250 | $1,750 | $3,250 |
| Credit card fee | $2,900 | $2,900 | none | none |
| Cost per point (PayRewards) | 4.65c | 3.08c | 1.75c | 1.63c |
| Cost per point (all in) | 2.33c | 2.05c | 1.75c | 1.63c |
The credit card points row and the all-in cost per point assume 1 point per $1 on your own card. Your rate is yours to enter. Payment delivery fees are charged per payment, so a $100,000 month also depends on how many payments it splits across. Fees are generally deductible. PayRewards fees and card processing fees are generally deductible as a business expense on eligible business spend. The calculator lets you enter your own marginal rate. We are not your tax advisor, so confirm it with yours.
