An experienced and highly regarded online entrepreneur, Damien is a major investor in several high-growth businesses, including the frequent-flyer points advisory website Point Hacks, a telemedicine business, and an aged care comparison service.

Damien founded iSelect, Australia’s leading consumer comparison platform, scaling it to over 15% market share in private health insurance and a top choice in financial services comparison. He expanded the business into new markets including energy, broadband, life insurance, and general insurance.

Edward Alder

Managing Director, Co-Founder &
Group CEO

Edward Alder is the Managing Director, Co-Founder & Group CEO of PayRewards and pay.com.au, bringing over 16 years of experience in strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate development, capital raising, distressed banking, and working capital management.

In 2014, Ed joined iSelect as Head of Corporate Development and was later appointed Group Executive for Growth. Before iSelect, Ed worked at M&A Partners as a senior member of their corporate advisory team, at ANZ Bank, and in various roles at Ernst & Young across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia.

Richard Bourke

Non-Executive Director

Richard Bourke is a Non-Executive Director at PayRewards and pay.com.au. With 14 years of experience in investment banking and financial modeling advisory, Richard is highly experienced in accelerating growth, accessing capital, and scaling for success.

Richard sits on the board of multiple technology companies, providing guidance on driving growth and building value. He is currently the CFO and an active board member for InstantScripts. As an accomplished corporate advisor and investor, he has been pivotal in developing strategies for major businesses including iSelect, Point Hacks, and InstantScripts.

David McCall

Non-Executive Director

David McCall is a Non-Executive Director at PayRewards, pay.com.au, Point Hacks, and Care About, bringing extensive experience across strategy, leadership, and commercial management.

He previously served as Head of Strategy and Commercial Director at Swinburne University, leading initiatives across strategy, delivery, commercial operations, and product management.Before Swinburne, David held senior leadership and board roles at ANZ, including Strategy and M&A, Retail Banking, and CEO for the American Territories in the Asia-Pacific Division. He has also held strategic positions at Seek and iSelect, helping shape growth and operational performance.

David began his career in consulting with Bain & Company and Booz & Company, focusing on strategy and operational performance, and holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

Grant Austin

Co-Founder & CEO

Grant Austin is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of PayRewards. Grant leads the company’s strategy across sales, marketing, customer experience, operations, product, and technology.

With two decades of experience spanning fintech, digital, loyalty, and corporate finance, Grant brings deep commercial expertise and operational discipline to scaling high-growth businesses, including leading the evolution of pay.com.au from an idea to trusted partner of 50,000 business owners globally.

Prior to co-founding pay.com.au in 2019 with Edward Alder and Damien Waller, Grant held executive roles including VP & Country Lead for Signal APAC and senior strategy positions at Coles (one of Australia’s largest retailers) and PwC.

Peter van Dorn

Country Manager

As U.S. Head of Country, Peter van Dorn leads the Dallas-based team responsible for all go-to-market and commercial functions supporting PayRewards’ U.S. expansion. Prior to PayRewards, he was a founding member of Sensible Weather, where he built the go-to-market engine behind a first-of-its-kind embedded fintech product adopted by thousands of travel and hospitality merchants.

In 2012, Pete co-founded PointsHound, a hotel booking marketplace for frequent flyers that was acquired by Points.com. Following the acquisition, Pete served as GM at Points, leading growth of the company’s B2B e-commerce platform, which was later acquired by Booking Holdings. Before co-founding PointsHound, Pete led global business development at Switchfly, responsible for strategic partnerships with airlines, hotels, and loyalty programs.

Pete started his career as an early team member at Hotwire.com, where he held various online marketing roles leading up to the company’s 2004 acquisition by Expedia. He is an occasional angel investor and active advisor to travel tech startups.

 

Andrew Cameron

General Counsel

Andrew Cameron is General Counsel at PayRewards, responsible for the legal, regulatory, and risk frameworks supporting the company’s rapid growth and U.S. expansion. He partners closely with leadership to guide commercial structuring, strategic partnerships, and compliance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Before joining PayRewards, Andrew was Head of Legal at Afterpay, where he supported the company through global expansion and regulatory complexity, and led the Afterpay legal team during its acquisition by Block, Inc. His work focused on governance, corporate matters, and strategic transactions during one of the most transformative phases in the company’s history.

Andrew brings over a decade of experience from leading firms including Herbert Smith Freehills, Addleshaw Goddard, and BBA Aviation PLC. His background spans public and private M&A, corporate law, technology, and financial services, giving him a strong foundation in managing legal risk across complex commercial contexts.

David Walsh

Head of Digital, CX & Marketing

David Walsh is the Head of Digital, CX & Marketing at PayRewards, bringing deep experience across product, growth, and customer engagement.

Since joining pay.com.au in 2019, he has helped scale the platform’s digital capabilities and strengthen the customer journey – driving innovation across acquisition, onboarding, automation, and retention. Prior to pay.com.au, David was Head of Product & Marketing at Point Hacks, where he helped Australians maximize their rewards points and grew the brand into a leader in loyalty. He has also held senior product roles at iSelect and played a key role in a biotech startup’s IPO and global expansion.

David focuses on building high-performing teams, delivering seamless digital experiences, and using data to drive customer-first growth.

Jason Cohen is the Head of Product at PayRewards, leading the strategy, development, and delivery of the company’s payments and rewards platform.

With a proven track record across high-growth fintech and eCommerce businesses, Jason focuses on building solutions that make business payments smarter, more rewarding, and easier to manage.

Lucas Bessell

General & Operations Manager

Lucas Bessell is the General & Operations Manager at PayRewards, responsible for the processes and payment operations that underpin the platform.

Since joining pay.com.au in 2021, he has worked across customer-facing roles, operations, and product management to design scalable systems that support growth and deliver reliable outcomes for customers. Lucas leads operational strategy and execution with a focus on payments infrastructure, fraud risk management, and global scalability.
